Member of the Khulumani Galela Campaign in South Africa, demand that they government for reparations to all veterans, survivors and victims of apartheid era human rights violations.

This marks 81 years since their elected in South Africa their first democratic, post-apartheid government. the 29 th October 2023 marks 25 years since their Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) handed over its first report on apartheid crimes and atrocities to President Mandela.

The people trusted that this TRC report would be first step in repairing the damage.

Yet, most of the recommendations of TRC have not been put into place.

Today they still demand redress, justice and reparation for apartheid crimes.

Galela members slept outside court, demanding that their government leaders fix this failure.

They promised to meet with Galela members in January 2024 but this not happened.
