BELLA ARGAZAM PHOTOGRAPHY
The world was not created in a hurry.
Attention begins with stopping.
With a simple gesture: to truly look.
Not only to see the shape of things, but to allow them to exist for a moment in our presence.
The face of a passerby, light on a wall, a tree growing between sidewalks. Small scenes that unfold beside us every day, often unnoticed.
Respect for the world means not treating it as decoration.
Every place carries its own story, every person carries the invisible weight of the days they have lived. When we look with respect, we stop judging so quickly. Curiosity appears instead.
Photography teaches this way of seeing.
A camera is not only a tool for taking pictures. It is a reason to be closer to reality.
Before a photograph is made, something more important must happen: the moment of truly seeing.
Sometimes it lasts a second.
Sometimes longer. Someone lifts their eyes, someone smiles, someone passes by lost in thought. Suddenly an ordinary moment becomes a story.
To look with attention is to accept that the world does not belong to us.
We are only its temporary witnesses. We can touch it with our gaze, store it in memory, sometimes hold it in a photograph.
But above all, we can learn one simple thing — presence.
Because when we truly look, we discover that everyday life is not ordinary.
It is full of life waiting for someone to notice it.
